Miami-Jamaica-Canadian dub, funk & soul group “Agape Featuring Nadia Harris” release their award winning music video “Row” as part of their “Legacy Series” in anticipation for their upcoming album. “Row” is part of an upcoming short film comprising a trilogy of music videos from their first release “EP1”. The videos create a bigger story when viewed together forming the series. “Row” won “Best Music Video” at the 2013 ImagiNATIVE Film Festival in Toronto as part of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Due to a series of unforeseen circumstances, the video was never released online for broad public viewing at that time and in light of pressing world events, the band has felt prompted to release the video now, as the subject matter resonates and speaks to these special times more than ever. “Row” is a time capsule of sorts whose timeless message was always destined and meant to be now.

The video allows for the viewer to create their own interpretations through a broad spectrum of stunning visuals and natural landscapes shot in the Florida Everglades to the tune of a hypnotic psychedelic dub groove. As the duo travel through the majestic landscape they are met with images of nature and natural archetypes that speak through their very presence. On their journey, they unexpectedly encounter a diverse cast of ancestral and tribal characters who greet them and guide them along the way.

The video was envisioned and directed by the band’s producer, Erick Paredes. It was realized and made possible through a collaboration with Executive Producer Houston Cypress (Otter Vision) of The Miccosukee Tribe of South Florida for Television show “Miccosukee Magazine”.

The artists hope that this video not only brings inspiration to the human spirit but also awareness to water related issues in South Florida. The unique and unparalleled beauty of the landscapes of the Florida Everglades provide an important habitat for numerous rare and endangered species critical to this vast ecosystem. We would also like to use this video to bring urgent attention to the preservation of rapidly vanishing ancestral ecological habitats worldwide due to global systemic deforestation and industrialization.
